The Captain's House

Located on a tree lined street, this sun-filled two-story house was originally built in 1828 and was once the home of playwright, Paul Foster.

It sleeps up to 8 people and features 3 bedrooms, 2 full renovated bathrooms, a large eat in-kitchen, a lounge room with a queen size sleeper couch and a spacious living area with TV and wifi. The private fenced-in backyard offers plenty of space to unwind with a covered porch, BBQ facilities, deck chairs and a brick enclosed fire pit. 

Steps away from Greenport Village with many great restaurants, cafes and Greenport Brewery.  You can Walk to 5th Street beach and 67 Steps Beach. Several other beaches less than a 10 minute drive away from the house. You will be very close to some of North Fork’s award winning vineyards (Bedell, Pindar, etc.) and local farm stands, where you can enjoy plenty of fresh local food. the Shelter Island Ferry, Jitney and LIRR stops are a short 8 min walk from the house.
